Team Survey Sheet
Students review the instructions before beginning the survey.

Each survey sheet contains enough material to keep the students busy measuring and studying the artifacts and features of the Arky Site.

A Total Hands-On Approach
Throughout the session, each student
has the opportunity to rotate through all of the jobs required for the survey.

1. Team leader
2. Recording to slate
3. Datum Point
4. Measuring distance

Working as a Team
The students work together to figure out
the correct distances measured from the Datum Points listed on the Survey Sheet.

They identify artifacts by their appropriate
I.D. numbers (field tags) and then record
their answers to the Survey Sheet.

If the students have any questions about the survey an Irons Oaks staff member is standing by and ready to assist.
